Ring Styles Guide: Find Your Shape and Detail

Compare five ring design directions with product photos, from a sunburst signet face to an eternity band, open oval, green centre and shell-inspired spirals.

Gold-tone Fiora Sun Signet Ring with a radiating round face

Looking at different rings and not sure which design to explore first? Start with the detail that catches your eye: a defined face, a row of accents, an open outline, a standout centre or a shell-inspired motif. Use these five examples to find the shape or detail you prefer, then follow the linked guide for a closer comparison. These descriptions are viewing prompts, not a complete or rigid classification; styles can overlap.

A signet-style face

Gold-tone Fiora Sun Signet Ring showing its round radiating face and curved band
Fiora pairs a round, radiating face with a curved band. View Fiora.

Fiora concentrates its sunburst detail on one defined face, rather than a continuous accent row around the band. Interested in that focal shape? Read the signet-ring guide for a closer look at the face, band, finish and sizing decisions.

A band with a continuous row of accents

Gold-tone Cosima Eternity Ring with rectangular clear accents around the band
Cosima shows rectangular clear accents around its band. View Cosima.

Cosima’s listed accents are zirconia, and its band width is 6.7 mm. This gives you a different starting point from a single central face. For a closer look at this design direction, visit the eternity-ring guide.

An open outline or pattern

Gold-tone Helena Oval Ring with an open oval face and a narrower band behind it
Helena's oval face leaves an open centre. View Helena.

Helena has an open oval face and numbered size options. An opening in the face does not mean the band is adjustable. Open space can also appear elsewhere in a ring’s visible pattern. See the openwork guide for examples and the visual differences between Helena and Maris.

A standout focal detail

Gold-tone Iris ring with a rectangular green centre and vertical fluting across its band
Iris places a rectangular green centre against a vertically fluted band. View Iris.

Iris’s green centre is zirconia. Here the colour and fluted band create the focal detail; a statement ring can also draw the eye through an outline. Explore the statement-ring guide to compare Iris with Arna's teardrop-shaped outline and clear accents.

A shell-inspired motif

Gold-tone Concha open ring with two round spiral details at its ends
Concha in Gold, with spiral details at the open ends. Gold and Silver are separate finish options. View Concha.

Concha is listed as adjustable; that does not establish a universal fit or a specific adjustment range. The spiral is a shell-inspired design detail. Check the product page for the current material and finish details. For more shell-inspired examples, compare Concha, Niley and Horizon in the shell-ring guide.

Where to go next

Once you have a design direction in mind, check each product page for its current finish, dimensions, size options and any adjustable-fit details before deciding. For measurement help, use the ring-size guide. If you want to wear more than one, the ring-stacking guide covers arrangement. You can also browse the Rings collection.
