Multicoloured Rings: Choosing and Styling a Colourful Band

See Nadia’s coloured-zirconia row in Gold and Silver, with ideas for repeating one accent or letting a colourful ring lead.

A multicoloured ring brings several colour accents into one piece. When choosing one, look at the way the colours are arranged across the band and decide how you want that detail to sit with your clothes and other jewellery. You can repeat one colour elsewhere, or let the ring provide the main colour accent.

Start with the arrangement of the colours

The Nadia Golden Hour Ring is a current Reef & Rose example with coloured zirconia accents along the front of a slim-looking band. The Gold close-up shows a line of round accents, including pink, orange and green details with lighter and darker accents between and beside them.

Follow the whole line to see whether you enjoy the repeated colour changes. A row spreads the detail across the front, while a single-centre ring puts attention in one place. If a larger central shape is your preference, our statement-ring guide covers that different design choice.

Repeat one accent in your outfit

Choose one colour you notice in the ring and try echoing it in a top, bag, scarf or another accessory you already own. With the pictured Nadia row, you could explore a pink, orange or green detail rather than trying to match every accent at once.

Keep the rest of the combination as simple or expressive as you prefer. For example, a green accessory can be one connection to the ring while the other colours remain separate points of interest. Our green-jewellery styling guide has more ideas if green is the colour you want to develop.

Or let the ring provide the colour

Try the ring with an outfit that has fewer competing colour details. A familiar white shirt, a plain knit or a simple dark outfit can give you a starting point. See whether you like the coloured row on its own before adding more jewellery.

If you want another ring, begin with a piece you already wear and compare the two on separate fingers. You do not have to build a stack around the multicoloured band. Our ring-stacking guide covers arranging several pieces when that is the look you want.

Compare the band finish separately

Nadia currently offers Gold and Silver. The Silver close-up below shows the multicoloured row against a silver-tone band. Compare both product views with your usual rings or watch, then select the finish you would like to wear.

The Gold or Silver guide offers a wardrobe exercise for that finish decision. The photographs here show appearance in separate compositions; use the listing’s size options rather than estimating fit from the enlarged images.

Check the size and product details before choosing

Nadia’s current ring-size options are 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Choose for the finger you intend to wear it on, using our at-home ring-size guide as a starting point. If you need help matching your measurement to the numbered options, contact our team before ordering.

The product listing identifies the accents as coloured zirconia. Use that material information when choosing; our zirconia guide explains the terminology. The colour names in this article describe the visible styling accents.

Before adding the ring to your bag, confirm the selected size and finish on the product page. Browse the rings collection to compare multicoloured detail with plain, pearl-accented and other current designs.
