Minimalist Jewellery: Choose Simple Shapes and Details

Explore a restrained jewellery look through Oceana’s flat chain, Willa’s circular hoops and Helena’s open oval, with product photos and listed fit details.

A minimalist jewellery look can centre on one clear line or shape: the curve of a hoop, a flat chain or an open oval. Start by noticing the outline you enjoy, then choose how much detail you want around it. The three examples below show different ways to explore that style across necklaces, earrings and rings.

Look for a clear design idea

Compare the main shape before looking at how many pieces you could combine. Does your eye follow a continuous line, a repeated pattern, a coloured centre or several separate charms? For a restrained look, you might choose a design with one outline as its main feature and give it space in the outfit.

Simplicity and physical size are separate choices. A circular hoop can have a clear, open outline at more than one diameter; an oval ring can make its shape noticeable without a row of decorative accents. Use the photographs to compare design details and the listing to compare measurements.

A flat line at the neckline: Oceana

The Oceana Herringbone Choker gives you a continuous flat-chain shape. Its herringbone pattern adds surface detail while the necklace keeps one curved outline without a hanging pendant.

The current listing gives an approximate 39 cm length plus a 5 cm extender and a 4 mm chain width, with Gold, Silver and Rose Gold options. Compare the listed length with a necklace you already wear, and check how you like it with your neckline. Our necklace length and layering guide covers that separate placement decision.

A slim circular outline: Willa

The Willa Thin Hoop Earrings show smooth circular hoops with open centres. Choose them for the line of the circle, then decide which listed size suits your preference.

Willa is sold as a pair. The current listing gives Medium as 25 mm inside diameter and Large as 30 mm inside diameter, both with a 2 mm hoop thickness, in Gold or Silver. These are inside diameters, so keep that label when comparing another pair. See the earring measurement guide for the distinction between inside diameter, outside diameter and thickness.

An open oval on the hand: Helena

The Helena Oval Ring uses an open oval face and a narrower band. If you like a defined shape, this gives you another way to explore a restrained design without choosing a tiny motif.

Helena has numbered sizes 5–9 and Gold or Silver options. The opening in the face describes the design, rather than an adjustable fit. Use our ring-size guide for sizing, and the openwork ring guide for a closer comparison of open patterns.

Choose your own level of detail

Try one design direction with clothes you already enjoy wearing. You can keep one shape as the focal point, repeat a curve in another category or add a more detailed piece if you prefer that combination. There is no requirement to wear all three categories together.

If you are deciding which pieces to keep in regular rotation, our jewellery capsule guide covers that organising task. To compare the designs themselves, browse necklaces, earrings or rings and check the selected product’s current details before ordering.
